It has been a busy fortnight in the cross country calendar for Hastings Athletic Club. Several were selected to represent Sussex in the South of England AA Inter-counties Championships at Parliament Hill in London. Making the biggest impression was 13 year old Grace Baker in the under 15 girls event notching a highly impressive 7th place.  Also starring were Ross Skelton and Kris Everett finishing 10th and 15th respectively in the under 17 mens event and combining with Sussex team mates to win the team bronze medal. In the under 13 girls category Louise Nash and Katie Garland ran strongly to finish in 28th and 33rd place. In the under 13 boys event the local club were represented by Luke Cooper (50th) and Ryan Hodd, with Ryan having to recover from loosing his shoe in the mud. Holly Wheeler starred for the senior women and helped the Sussex team to silver medal position with a strong 27th place. Finally Stacey Clusker came home in a solid 25th place in the under 17 womens event.
